Our new range of educational classroom and office furniture are now at even loser prices with crush bent classroom tables starting from as low as £29.00. These tables come assembled and ready to use in a choice of black or grey frames and laminated tops in Red, Blue, Yellow, Beech, Grey or Green. There is a choice of PVC or MDF protective edging at no extra cost and a non stacking and stackable version is also available. All the tables have levellers for use on uneven floors. Needless to say while these prices are low we are also able to give quantity discounts when appropriate. Folding examination desks with a beech top and black frame are priced at £19.00 again subject to quantity discounts. There is also a Examination table trolley which will hold 40 desks on heavy duty castors for fast and convenient storage. All these items are on a 2-4 week lead time depending on stock levels which vary throughout the academic year. Integrated office furniture that allows the flat screen, keyboard and mouse to be shut securely away within a self contained module Apart from the obvious security benefit this also free up the desk surface to allow for non IT related work. It is locked away in a smooth hydraulic action in a module designed to hold screens from 17-19”. 25mm thick MFC tops are available in Oak, Beech, Ash ,Cherry or Silver

There are two principal types of filing systems found in modern offices
Vertical filing is the most common and is normally associated with filing cabinets. The files hang vertically with the identification tab on the top edge. Papers are added or retrieved from the top. As this type of filing is used in drawers or filing frames which pull out it has the benefit to the user in being easier to operate at lower levels. It is also easier to add new filing within an alphabetical system.
Lateral filing is when papers are added from the side of the file and the identification tab is on the side of the file. The main benefit of this type of filing system is that it is more space efficient. Lateral filing does not rely on drawers and a typical two metre high filing cupboard can house 6 rows of filing, double that of suspended filing. In addition as there are no drawers to pull out then there is less space used when standing at the cabinet or cupboard. When examining speed of filing and retrieval the lateral system is better, files tend to remain in a semi permanent location and therefore in the memory.  Again as there is no drawer filing and retrieval is a quick single handed action.
Add in new files in random positions can be an obstacle as the file is sometimes difficult to move along the rail.The TUB or coat hangar file can alleviate this  

The Offimat 120 degree desk is an ideal layout for large open plan areas. The desk configurations can ne connected to form a number of layouts connecting in all directions. This principle can be used to convey power and data across the floor to the desk top in wide spaces and provide a more cost effective and flexible solution to the use of under or cabling and power poles. Ascala glass computer desks are the latest addition to our glass desks and tables line.  Available in real wood oak or walnut veneer, the Walnut desk comes with the black piano glass top and the oak version is available with a milky white glass top. Each desk also has a pull out worksurface suitable as a stowaway for a keyboard or laptop. The wooden frame is formed by a unique bending process.  The glass used is safety glass and passes BS6206A . This desk is a stock items and is available on a 1-2 day lead time. We have reduced a number of items from our Blackmore office furniture range which can be seen on the Clearance line. These items are available in Beech or Oak on a 7-10 day lead time. The desks are flat packed and are easily assembled. The desk tops are 22mm MFC with a scratch resistant surface. Desk can be rectangular or corner desks and are protected on the edge by ABS in a matching colour to the desk surface. The leg is a wooden side panel cantilever with a metal foot. The foot has height adjustable levellers for use on uneven floors. The Blackmore range also has a range of matching side and desk under drawer units as well as cupboards and bookcase units and a wooden CPU holder. There is also a range of filing cabinets which it also delivered flat packed.

The Receptive Desk at The Special Yoga Centre @ NW1

The Special Yoga Centre is a charitable organisation offering yoga to all walks of life without regard to social status, religion, financial, physical ability or ethnical background. This  charity is the home for The Yoga for the Special Child programme LLB, a programme that supports children with range of conditions, including cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, autism, epilepsy, ADD and ADHD, and other physical and developmental difficulties.

The Special Yoga Centre approached Office Reality as they needed to update and improve their existing reception desk. We acknowledged the fact that they were doing some fantastic work and decided to  donate a  Receptive Reception Desk which consisted of a 800mm Straight section with counter top and a 90 degree DDA section in Maple with a silver kick plate. The desk was well received by all the people who work at the centre and all the visitors alike.
