Office chair mats now on the web site

Our new range of chair mats are constructed from acrylic or polycarbonate and are designed to protect carpet and hard floors for damage caused by the pressure and movement of castors from the office chair on the floor. The Cleartex Advantagemat is composed of 20-40% recycled material and comes with a gripper surface for use with carpets or a smooth back when used for a hard floor. Available as a rectangular or contoured shape this mat can also have a lip towards the front of the chair to protect the floor when the chair is pushed under the desk. The polycarbonate version of this chair mat is thicker and is less susceptible to curling, cracking and changing in colour. Cleartex mats are available from stock and are packed in round cardboard tubes with a lead time of 2-3 days from order. These chair mats can be used at home or in the commercial office. We are on the move

Our new offices at Westpark, Chelston 26  are nearing completion and our move date has been set at October 16th. In addition to 4000 square foot of office and showroom space we have 3000 square foot of adjoining warehouse space. This move will enable us to bring the entire Company under one roof. We will be able to hold a greater amount of stock to enable a quicker response to our customers needs. We are also extending the services we offer to include commercial fit out and we will extend the commercial interior design service that we currently offer with an increase in in-house resource. The sales team that support our web sites will also grow as our business continues to move forward. The move represents the latest milestone in our six year history and we are we would like ti thank our customers and suppliers who have helped us bring the business to this exciting stage.
 
 

 

Designing and implementing a more sociable environment is an investment

This new radical study released by the company Steelcase Inc, based in Chicago provides evidence that by investing in high end and hitech furniture such as office chairs and desks, can create a more efficient and relaxed environment for employees in particular the younger generations.
The study was carried out across company offices in India, China and the US, which all showed completely different environments to work in however the basic principles were the same, concluding that more money should be invested in office design.
One of the most immediate questions that spring to mind is how to make an office more attractive in terms of its design. Firstly making an environment where employees can connect with their peers and colleagues is crucial. This is how they can grow from each other and evolve not just within work, but socially as well.
On the other end of the spectrum is privacy. There are two types of privacy, one for confidential matters such as a superior consulting a subordinate. For this they would need a separate space, and the other is perceived privacy.
In an open plan office, if you put people in cubicles, they can tend to become miserable as they are all alone and there is no chance for social interaction. This coupled with new technology can make a workspace more attractive in particular for the youth of today. Another great tip is to incorporate colour schemes. Instead of having 100 workspaces the same, having different coloured desks and lighting can create an identity for the different departments in an office.
One of the biggest factors however in an office that can create a relaxed and more appealing environment is the personalisation of workspaces. In India it is common for workers to bring in personal belongings such as lunchboxes, bags, umbrellas etc… to have at their workstation, whereas In America they are encouraged to leave this in thir cars. Ideally an area close to the entrance of the office where workers can leave their belongings would be more suitable eliminating problem of cluttering their workstation as well as providing a social area within the office.

Two simple meeting table solutions that have recently been added to the meeting table line. Buro meeting tables are available with either a trumpet style base or a pole leg solution. Tops are 25mm thick low maintenance and durable melamine tops and the edges are protective by 2mm anti-shock ABS material. Top finishes are Beech, Maple, Cherry, Light Grey or White and delivery is 5-7 working days from order.
Tables are available in 1200mm diameter circular suitable for a meeting from 4-6 people and  2000mm x 1000mm suitable for 8 people. ST Educational seating

ST educational chairs are another solution to the changes in demands and attitudes to seating posture in the classroom. These chairs have a S shape built into the back of the chair to assist children to adopt the correct position when sitting and give additional support where it is needed.
