Ligne Roset home office furniture

Ligne Roset are French based manufactures and designer on home and contract furnishing, including home office desks, reception and occasional seating and contract dining furniture. The Company was founded in 1860 by Antoine Roset and remains within the family today. The Company entered the contract furniture market after World War Two, supplying furniture to Schools, Libraries and offices. In the 50’s and 60’s the company released a number of innovative soft seating and tub chairs which found their way into many office reception areas. Products from the latest catalogue include the Hyannis Port home office suite, distinguished by its up to the minute minimalist appearance. Available in either a white lacquer finish or oak stained to ebony/wenge his high quality range features automatically self closing drawers on the under desk pedestal drawers.  Ligne Roset collaborate with young, emerging European furniture designers, developing new and exciting products on offer across a number of distributors. OfficeMax Recall Hazardous Chair

On the 1st of September 2009 the US Product Safety Commission in conjunction with OfficeMax announced a voluntary recall for the “OfficeMax Task Chair”. Having been tested by safety experts, results revealed that the chair was not fit for commercial use. The report stated that “The back and the base post of the chair can break while in use, posing a fall hazard to consumers”.
 In total, OfficeMax received 35 reports of the chair backs and columns breaking, 15 of which were injuries including lacerations, concussions and muscle strains. It is estimated that 216,000 units were manufactured and were sold between September 2003 and July 2008.
Customers that have purchased the chair are being advised to return the chair to the nearest OfficeMax store where they will receive a full refund, or if they do not have a receipt, they will receive a $55.00 gift certificate for OfficeMax.

Hands of Wycombe was founded over 100 years ago, originally manufacturing cabinets and chairs. Today the head office and factory can still be found on the same site as the original workshop that was set up more than a century ago.
Hands have provided furniture for some of the most prestigious events, for example the coronation of George V.I and Elizabeth II.

Iren Uffici

Iren Uffici is an Italian manufacturer that was founded in 1958. The company originally set out to design and manufacture office furniture. After 40 years of trading, it was in 1992 that the company decided to branch out of the office furniture market and to team up with designer Piero Lissoni.
The goal was to produce office furniture that still had all the elements of charm and ornateness but keeping in mind simplicity. What was produced from this change in business direction was a range of new products that whilst keeping the trademark of elegant furniture, brought a more minimalistic design.
Today, Iren Uffici still provides high-end quality furniture at affordable prices, but still keeping in mind their vision of the “office”.

Magis Contemporary Furniture

Magis is a manufacturer that prides itself on designing domestic products with a contemporary twist.
The company was founded in 1976 in the North East of Italy by Eugenio Perazza and has to grown into a giant within the industry. Their main aim is to provide a contemporary alternative to mundane objects by incorporating up to the minute technology and design for mass production.
The first success for Magis was a project called “Step” in 1984. During this time, it was unheard of for ladders to be included as part of the office furniture industry. It was in hardware departments and shops that sold them, but a turn in demand created a gap in the market for them within the office world and soon saw a huge increase in sales of the “Step”. To date over a million units have been produced and the product has been replicated by high-lineage companies to.
Today Magis are still working on new ranges and products and have in the last few years expanded their demographic to include ranges for children. The launch of “Chair First” in 2007, which is part of the children’s range, this year, received a nomination to Compasso d’Oro ADI.
Currently Magis exports 80% of its products to over 70 different countries with growing success in the Japanese market.

Gubi office seating
Gubi are a Danish manufactures of office chairs, conference tables, bar stools, tub chairs and reception. They employ 20 people and are based in Copenhagen. The A3 stool with its ridged polypropylene design is a favourite and has been successful in many projects across Europe. The Gubi lounge collection consists of segmented modular seating and coffee tables that can be used in reception and conference areas.
All products are made to their unique designs and finished to a high quality.  Dubi office furniture and seating is also planned for World Trade centre no 7 in New York

Paroda designer office furniture

Paroda are an Italian manufacturer of high class office furniture and contract furniture and are based in the suburbs of Milan. Founded in 1968 by Luigi Allievi and his four sons the company grew by offering office seating, and contract furniture to the European market. Products offered include meeting tables, conference chairs and boardroom tables. The Anvie range of boardroom tables and chairs are manufactured from solid cherry and can be stained to American black walnut or Wenge. Toboga designer modular bookcases consist of a 90 degree element that can be configured into a number of different shapes.

Mobilex are a manufacturer of office chairs based in the Treviso province of Italy. Founded in 1974 they are represented in over 40 countries. They have a very comprehensive collection that includes swivel office chairs, reception seating and tub chairs. Of note the Festival range of auditorium seating is a high quality solution with elastic webbing on the seat for extra comfort, a range of arm options and a backrest with metal sheet covering for extra protection. Loundes Fisher are a manufacturer of designer furniture in Amsterdam. They have been producing high quality meeting and conference tables and chairs since 1993.
