The Setu office chair from Herman Miller
Saturday, July 4th, 2009Another office chair launched at the Neocon office furniture exhibition was SETU, by US office furniture giant Herman Miller. Designed by Studio 7 in Berlin from 2004 this office chair features a unique Kinematic spine mechanism. The SETU chair has only one control, for height adjustment. Designed with the one chair fits all idea, this office chair is aimed at the changes in office activity where there is more mobility and activity and office chairs are less likely to be designated to individuals. The design of the one piece shell and supporting beam ensure that the chair adjusts individually to a person’s weight. The elastomeric fabric used on the chair is flexible to support different body shapes and positions. This is a very simple minimalist chair that is 75% recyclable and its no idle boast that the instruction manual simply states sit down…..
