A range of executive furniture and conference tables in 12mm glass tops. Finish tops options are black glass, frosted glass and curry glass which is lime green in colour (RAL 1027). The metal legs are made from a triangular section of extruded aluminium and polished to a shiny finish. The foot and top section are in chrome with die cast plates to fix to the top. Modesty panels are available in white or wenge and are 18mm thick with protective ABS ion four sides. Desk shapes include rectangular, curved trapezoidal and elliptical, which can also be used as meeting tables

The new Fly bench system range of office furniture is manufactured in Italy and is available on a lead time of 4 weeks. 18mm thick slimline work tops can come in contemporary finishes, light oak, white or wenge. The tops are edged in 20/10 ABS anti shock protection on four sides. Glass tops are also available in 12mm safety glass in white, black or red. The frame consists of square section tube, 20/10 thickness and is fully welded finished to white or polished aluminium. A chrome frame is also available in an executive desk range. Desk top screens enhance this range and are offered in finishes to match the desk top or Plexiglass. The Plexiglass screen colours are Blue, Red, Orange, Ice or Apple green. Desks can be freestanding or supported by under desk pedestals or credenza units. There is also arrange of extendable meeting tables also available in glass which can be used in boardroom and training room environments. The modular table range comes with 60mm diameter pole legs and include a linking device to hold the tables together. Table top shapes are rectangular, trapezoidal, radiused segement, quadrant and half moon. The range of table shaped allows a number of configurations to be created to suit large conference and training room applications. The range also includes a table top trolley and a leg storage trolley making these tables ideal for temporary use. Ryan is a furniture designer living in East London and born In South Africa. Starting in Cape Town he has also worked with Dutch design company den Hartog Musch and the international architectural practice Arup Associates. Ryan has been commissioned to design pieces by the Observer newspaper and the Hyatt hotel group The Hackney shelf is a range of mobile shelving units that is decorated  by graffiti taken from strategically placed white boards across the East end. The result brings street art into the office or home

Job cuts at Haworth office furniture

Haworth job cuts
In the latest response to the economic downturn Haworth Inc one of the world’s largest manufactures of office furniture and seating is to close its seating plant in Allegan in Michigan this follows lay offs from the two other office furniture giants in the region Herman Miller and Steelcase. It has been said that the industry receives a double hit not only from the direct effects from the slowdown but also due to the release of used office furniture released into the marketplace from downsizing companies and in particular the financial services sector. The Allegan factory is responsible for the majority of Haworth’s office seating portfolio and includes the award winning Zody office chair. Production will now be split between Haworth’s other factories in the UK. Two of Haworth’s other factories in thge area, in Holland and Douglas are seeking voluntary redundancies.

Desks with sliding tops that allow quick and easy access to the cable tray from the desk surface. The desk top comprises two parts to the rear a static 200mm deep section and a 600mm deep section to the front, which slides forward. The desk top fits into a groove in the side of the leg which acts as the guide way for two inserts in the desk
The two inserts fit into final locating holes when the desk is in the open position as a safety feature. Standard finishes for this product are Core Beech and Light Grey 22mm MFC.
