The Studio Boardroom table or Central Table is in ideal table for those who wish to seek out a modern design whilst keeping to a budget. The central table comes in various different sizes starting off as a one piece top at 1800mm then increasing to a 2200mm. It then becomes a two piece top at 3200mm another neat idea that Actiu thought of is the extension top which when added to the middle creates a 4400mm table this can be added again up to 6800mm. As a genral rule thumb the seating requirements are as follows.

1800mm – 4 people / 2200mm – 8 people / 3200mm – 10 people / 5600mm – 18 people

Charles and Ray Eames

Charles Eames was born in 1907 in Saint Louis, Missouri, predominantly an architect an designer he and his wife Ray Eames designed and produced some of the most influential and iconic pieces of furniture to date. When Charles and Ray moved to California they specialised in moulding plywood which led them to a commision by the Navy to produce stretchers, moulded plywood splints and experimental glider shells. These products were eventually manufactured by Evans Products one of their moulded plywood chairs was hailed as chair of the century by architectural critic Esther McCoy. Eventually prodution was given to the American company Herman Miller Inc who to this day produces and manufactures their designs. Closer to home Vitra International have the rights over many of these designs.

Good design doesn’t need to be expensive; many ideas are brought out from discussion and development between people in your organisation and ours starting from an understanding of your aims and aspirations and ending with drawings, visuals, specifications project plan and timescales. Normally this will include overhead floor plans and 3d Visuals.

Unlike many of our Internet based competitors we have a history in Commercial Interior Design and we try to offer products that reflect good design as well as value.

We continue to work as a furniture sourcing tool for other Interior Designers and Architects as well as Office Furniture Dealers and Manufactures as our web sites have continued to grow and are under constant review the likelihood of finding the correct products for their own projects has increased. Very often we have added our own design resource in support of their proposals.

Some work is fee based, however if we are supplying drawings and visuals in support of a quotation for products, then we don’t normally charge, our typical turnaround is 2-3 days from receipt of drawings or survey.

We are happy to visit you to survey and discuss your requirement and depending on location would normally require a weeks notice.
