This office chair has been designed through collaborative work between the manufacturer Verco and leading Ergonomists. The back rest mimics the natural S shape of the spine with an inward curving lumbar region instead of the “lazy C” formation that develops when someone is in the sitting position. This C shape will increase the strain on the ligaments of the spine and may in time affect the spinal discs resulting in back pain. The Ergoform office chair has been awarded FIRA (Furniture Industry Research Association) excellence award for 2004. Ergoform office chairs are available on a four week lead time and are manufactured in the South east of England.
