Formway Office Furniture
Formway are designers and manufacturers of office furniture and office seating and are located in Wellington New Zealand. They were established in the 50’s and produced general steel based office furniture and desks. In 1981 they were purchased by the current owners and modernised using the latest production techniques. An early success in this period was the Zaf office chair received was awarded the Prince Philipp award for design excellence. In 1997 the Company launched the widely acclaimed Free office furniture system which won several awards at Neocon. This plead to a partnership with Bretford the US office furniture manufacture who make this range under license. Another benchmark product is the Life office chair designed in 2002. The Life chair will make adjustments automatically according to the users weight.
Formway have showrooms across Australasia and employ over 200 people in their plants in Wellington and Sydney. Products are designed and developed in house and they have manufacturing partnerships across the world.
