Office furniture companies in legal dispute
Alphaville Design a Company based in Freemont California is preparing to defend the court action brought by office furniture giant Knoll Inc. The dispute is over whether the design classic Barcelona chair designed by Miles Van de Roche in the 1920’s is in the public domain. This court battle first began in 2007 and is being as a groundbreaking test between those who are able to produce cost effective reproductions of these design classics and those larger corporations who have have had previous claim to some of the great masterpieces in office and domestic furniture
