Specialists in design of seating for public spaces. Zoeftif are based in Bude Cornwall. Born in 1969 and founded by Mick Carter and Alan Zoeftig they instantly received work from many of the well known designers of the era including Conran, Fitch and Co and Saatchi & Saatchi producing products that supported the branding of many high street stores such as shopfittings for Harvey Nicholls and Top Shop.Zoeftig has also designed and supplied furniture for the set of Star Wars.
The firm relocated to Cornwall on 1976
Many of the airports around the UK have benefited for their range of passenger seating including Zinearre beam seating at Newquay and Exeter airport and Zenky beam seating at Plymouth, Jersey and Luton airports. Other installations include seating for Dover ferry terminals, Bistol Magistrates court and Nottingham Magistrates Court.

Bart 24 office chairs
A soft feel black leather chair with substantial seat cushion and back rest. This chair is designed for 24 hour use and is suitable for control rooms and other area where prolonged sitting is required. This office chair features independent seat tilt which allows the user to alter the position of the back rest and increase the angle of the back rest and the seat. This decreases the pressure on the spinal discs and relaxes the back muscles. An adjustable headrest also provides additional neck support. Andrew Muirhead and Co
Muirhead supply high performance leather to the contract and office seating industry. Their heritage can be traced back to 1758 when the founder John Muirhead began to export glove and chamois leather to America. Following this came the production of glue from animal skins. In 1820 James his son took over the business followed by Andrew James’s son in 1840. In 1870 the Company changed its name to Andrew Muirhead and Sons and began to provide quality leather for upholstery, luggage and shoes. This carried on until the 1960’s when the demand for upholstery leather overshadowed all other applications. In 1968 the Company became Andrew Muirhead and Co. Today the Company provides high quality leather to the office furniture marketplace as well being the leading supplier to the airline sector. Eero Aarnio born 1932
A Finish designer born in Helsinki and known mainly for the bubble chair and ball chair which have been seen in many science fiction movies and, of course in the hit movie Austin Powers. Eero studied at the Institute of Arts in Helsinki and in the early sixties began working with plastics and designing furniture items with playful shapes and colours. Many of his works can be found at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In June 2006 one of his latest designs the Trioli children’s chair received the prestigious Adi Compasso D’Aro award. The bubble and ball chair are can be used in break out and reception areas and general office seating.

Boss Design office seating
Based in Dudley Birmingham and founded by the present Managing Director Brian Murray in 1983. Boss design specialise in the provision of high quality office chairs and seating to the contract market. 1985 saw the launch of the Iconic Delphi executive and conference chair. Boss design won their first export project in 1988 when they were commissioned to manufacture and install soft seating for a casino in Gibraltar. 1998 saw the launch of the Komac division aimed at the provision of value office chairs to the general market place through a network of dealers. Further growth saw the Company move to a new headquarters in 2000 this purpose built factory has a floor space of 105, 000 square foot. A London showroom on the Euston Road was added in 2001 as Boss Design expended further into the office seating marketplace. Products include the Dipi range of tub chairs, Adda, modular seating for reception and break out areas and Kruz designer seating. This year Boss was presented with eth Green Heroes ward by the Botanist David Bellamy for an manufacturing environmental study.
