The Victoria and Albert collection is not manufactured in the UK but by Moraso and Italian firm specialising in soft furnishings for the contract market. Designed by Ron Arad the collection was named for an exhibition of his works in the famous London Museum. Ron Arad works at his practice in Hampstead. As with many renowned designers he is also an architect. In the world of furniture he is known for the Rover chair, recycled from car seating as well and tables that are constructed so they appear to be climbing walls. He also recently designed a chandelier for Swarowski that can receive text messages. Ron Arad’s work can also be seen at the Pompidou centre in Paris, The Metropolitan museum of Art in New York and the Vitra design museum in Germany. Moraso supply soft furnishing from many international designers from their factory in Udine near Trieste. Their product shave been sold throughout the world including the Queen Victoria cruise ship, Moorfields Eye hospital in Dubai and the VIP lounge and Amsterdam Airport.
