Allsteel Office furniture

A US office furniture company based in Muscatine, Iowa on the edge of the Mississippi river Allsteel are a long established provider of modular office furniture. Founded in 1912 by H. Kemble and John Knell who began by making metal enclosures for electrical workers. They then progressed on to lockers which saw them through the Great Depression and by the end of World War 2 the company has two divisions one making electrical components and the other producing office furniture. With a passion for deign and new products the factory would often close down completely and gear up for new ranges of steel office desks and associated products. Later the Company was responsible for the invention of the lateral filing cabinet. All steel are part of te HON group the second largest officer furniture manufacturer in the UADS and partner Ahrend to market in Europe. Allsteel produce a full range of office furniture products including flip top meeting tables, integrated metal storage systems, task and conference office chairs.
