Farrell Office furniture Formed by two brothers Paddy and Ollie, Farrell are now the largest manufacturer of office furniture in Ireland. The factory is located on the River Dee, in Ardee Co Louth. The brothers began by making television cabinets for the German company Telefunken And fireplace surround for a local Company. They then moved into office system furniture with Series 9000 designed by the well respected design house Archimede. In 1983 they began production with around 50 employees. 1990 saw the launch of the Coras range of system office furniture. In 1194 they opened a showroom in Surrey and began to develop their sales in the UK marketplace. In 2002 Farell had over 100 employees. The UK operation was consolidated in Dewsbury where they have an MFC plant, offices and a purpose built showroom.. 2006 marked further expansion at the Factory in Ireland and another new showroom.
