Interstuhl Office Chairs Founded as a blacksmiths in 1930 in Germany Interstuhl by Wilhelm Link the Company owned and run by the Link Family today. In 1967 Wilhelm and his Werner seized the opportunity to provide Industrial chairs top seamstresses working in the rapidly expanding textiles trade. Throughout the 70’s Interstuhl moved into general office chairs and seating and in 1980 started to expand into Europe opening offices in Switzerland and the Netherlands. Further growth in the 90’s led to offices in UK, France and Belgium. 1996 saw the company receive a contract with Mercedes Benz,. Most noted for the Silver chair designed by Hams-Ullrich Bitsch which was launched at Orgatech in 2002 to critical acclaim Intershuhl have gone from strength to strength. Employing over 200 people exports now make up a third of al sales.
