MoneyHub

This insightful financial tool was conceived in 2013 and launched by a small innovative Bristol- based team. Since this time they have rapidly outgrown various office spaces as MoneyHub technology grew and developed at lightning speed. In 2014 Money Hub was acquired by Momentum Financial Technology and its MoneyHub technology was acquired by Momentum in the UK.

Alongside this acquisition came the exciting prospect of a brand new large office space to accommodate the growing team which would also offer them an inspiring place to work, socialise and collaborate.

MoneyHub contacted Office Reality during the final stages of their fit out as they need to find a suitable storage solution in the form of lockers which were going to be situated within a walkway between the working office and the social space of the staff canteen.

In the early stages of the planning and due to the ‘minimalist look’ requirements of the brief it was agreed that personal underdesk pedestals (mobile drawer units) would contribute to making the space look cluttered and untidy. Each specified workstation in keeping with the minimalist look featured a shallow metal drawer on the underside of the desk top which would hold small loose items such as pens, notebooks, and phones. The problem was that these drawers would not hold larger personal items such as bags, cycle helmets, and even squash rackets often bought in by staff members. Lockers therefore were preferred storage solution to this problem.

Money Hub did not want the standard looking metal lockers as they were going to be within the office environment so they specified wooden lockers which would give a warmer feel and would be quieter when in use. The Aztec Three Door locker was specified from our sister website Online Reality and was modified in size to suit the requirements of the MoneyHub team. The Aztec lockers are available and manufactured in the UK from sturdy 18mm MFC and are available with a choice of natural or coloured doors, on this occasion the white mfc finish was chosen.  Due to the size of the lockers they were installed in separate components as the lift was not big enough to fit each one in individually, we made sure that we knew the lift dimensions so that we would not encounter any problems on the day. Overall the installation went very well and the lockers have been well received and used by all the team at Money Hub.
