Finding the appropriate seating for Early Years children can be difficult as firstly, there is so much to choose from, and secondly, there are several factors to consider.
Seating for young children should be designed and manufactured to a high standard with both arm and back support in mind. It is vital to encourage children to maintain good posture as this can prevent spinal issues later on in life. As they grow it is important to continue to support the child’s posture and so a solid chair with good back support is necessary.
The colour and texture should also be taken into account when browsing for early year’s furniture. Young children learn through touch and observing, and colour and texture and now widely considered to be important aspects of a child’s development. Brightly coloured seating is uplifting and visually stimulating and this is a great way to keep a child’s mind active. Texture is important too – soft seating is comfortable and this gives a sense of security to the child, as well as being interesting to touch.
We provide a range of early year’s furniture that is suitable for children under the age of 10. This makes it perfect for nurseries, primary schools, playrooms and waiting areas where children will be with their parents (e.g. Dentists and Doctors Surgeries). Our range of children seating features a variety of designs from modular style seating to tub chairs and benches. Be sure to browse through to find something to suit your specific needs – if you can’t find what you are looking for don’t hesitate to get in touch.
All of our early years furniture is available for free delivery within the UK mainland – buy with confidence from Office Reality.
