When the raw building elements such as concrete, bricks, steel, and glass are left exposed it often reflects the Brutalist architectural movement of the early 20th century. Exposed building materials and concrete has seen a resurgence with some cafes and offices adopting the industrial look. The featured roof above this reception desk is exposed, highlighted further by a unique and interesting lighting strip. This reception desk has been specified in paneled crown-cut American white oak veneer with the dark grey concrete desktop almost splicing through the veneered panels. LED lighting was also specified adding extra interest and gently offsetting the industrial look.
